Omicron Cases in India- Timeline

Omicron is the new variant of concern as declared by WHO- it is the main cause of soaring Covid cases in the US and UK. As of now, it is considered mild with respect to previous Covid variants. Additionally, its symptoms are also different- it is reported that it does not damage the lungs, nor does it cause loss of sense of smell. Some of the common symbols reported are:

  • Fatigue
  • Itchy throat
  • Body pain
  • Running Nose

Though it is mild, most cases reported in South Africa and UK came to light when people reached hospital for reasons other than Covid. Therefore as the number increases- the hospitals can become overcrowded- so best advise is stay vigilant- follow the Covid appropriate protocol.
