Rescue from the Haunted House: A Morse Code Mystery

As I sat in bed reading the book “Hauntings,” I couldn’t help but feel a chill run down my spine. The book was filled with tales of paranormal activity all across India, and as I read about the different hauntings, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of unease.

It was 2:00 AM in the middle of the night when I heard the electronic beeping. It was aperiodic, but still regular, and it seemed to be coming from somewhere in my room. I searched for the source of the beeping, turning off all electronics, but the sound persisted. My heart began to race as I realized that I couldn’t explain where the sound was coming from.

I tried to sleep, but the beeping continued to haunt me. The next day came, and everything seemed normal, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off. That night, the beeping started again, and this time, I decided to record it.

I listened to the recordings the next day with a friend, and there was no denying that the beeping was real. But what was it? Could it be a hidden message? I started to wonder if I was missing something.

The next night, I recorded the beeping again, paying close attention to the timing. One beep came after 13 seconds, another after 17, and then another after 7. There seemed to be no pattern, and I couldn’t figure out what it meant.

But then I played the recording for my friend, who suggested that it might be Morse code. I didn’t know Morse code, but I was eager to learn. The next night, I recorded the beeping again, this time with the intention of decoding it.

And that’s when I heard it: the beeping was Morse code for SoS, followed by a number. It was a house number, and as it turned out, nobody lived there. The only person who visited the house was the cleaning lady, who came every day to keep the place tidy.

With a sense of urgency, I called the authorities and told them about the beeping and the house number. They immediately dispatched a team to investigate, and what they found was truly shocking. It turned out that the cleaning lady’s daughter had been trying to reach her mother for days, but she had no way to contact her. Her parents had gone to a village for some work, and there was no mobile signal in the area.

But the daughter had just learned about Morse code in school, and she decided to use an old alarm clock in the house to send out an SOS message. Thanks to her quick thinking and her knowledge of Morse code, the cleaning lady was finally rescued.

It was a haunting experience, but one that ultimately had a happy ending. And as for me, I put down the book “Hauntings” and vowed never to read it again in the middle of the night.
